Hi all!!!! Still working on the backlog. This show at Free Parking was really fun, though I arrived late and left slightly early, so the recording of Delay 77 catches the end of their set, and the recording of Heath Monger catches the beginning of their set.
I had a really great time at this show chatting with Delay 77! Turns out they record all of their sets and upload them to archive.org which is SO COOL to me. I ended up buying a cassette from them which was a combination of two of their albums. My favorite of the two was Don't Stare at the Sun. I ended up looping the track "Twenty Five" a lot after the show, it's So So So Catchy.
Also, every time I see Hive Mind I'm always astonished by how good they are. If I'm remembering right, I told one of the band members they needed to make merch so it could be easier for me to throw money at them. I still hold by this!!!! (Also, now that I'm looking it up, next time I see the band I will for sure also ask them to make a Bandcamp so it's easier for me to throw money at them. Many such cases).
Finally, there was Heath Monger. I sadly don't remember much of their set, as at that point I was starting to get a migraine. I ended up sitting upstairs and I chatted with my friend AB. I still ended up recording around 15 minutes of their set. While it's not the entire thing, you can still listen and get an idea of what they sound like.
Also, I will almost never recommend the wav files because they're way more clunky BUT in the wav file before the Hive Mind set there's a crystal clear recording of someone pointing out I was wearing sandals at the show. I think this is maybe the third recording I've gotten with someone pointing this out (deeply funny). I cracked a toenail once in the pit doing this, but this show I was fine, ha.
Any band on this recording, let me know if you'd like me to take your portion down! Otherwise, please enjoy this set! I recommend you check out the mp3 files & of course if you have any issues downloading the files please reach out! & as a final note, any editing I do is just to cut out portions of talking before & after the set, so while the audio levels will be consistent within recordings they may vary from track to track.
