Bochek was up next and oh man. If you haven't heard Bochek before you Have To Get In On This. Bochek has the most solid groove of any band I've seen at Rainbow. After this set I immediately tried to find some of the songs I remembered because I KNEW there were sections of them that would get So So Stuck In My Head. Also, the way the lead singer danced was captivating. The show was long enough ago that I can't think of how to describe it, but if you've seen Bochek live you know what I'm talking about.
I ended up buying a CD & a patch from Bochek. This was deeply worth it, their album Tightly Clung to Love (the CD I purchased) is SO catchy you WILL start singing it without realizing that's what you're doing. I still catch myself singing the words to Beamin' every once in a while.
The final band to play was Delaware's darling Kobika. I will admit dear listener, I was very overwhelmed by the crowd so I did sit outside and chat with my friends during this set (it was so cold out there. so so cold). BUT I still recorded the set, so you can listen to the recording and let me know what you thought of it. I saw Kobika once at the Impetus Records 5 year celebration at The Queen & I remember being very entranced by them. They're well worth the listen.
Any band on this recording, let me know if you'd like me to take your portion down! Otherwise, please enjoy this set! I recommend you check out the mp3 files & of course if you have any issues downloading the files please reach out! & as a final note, any editing I do is just to cut out portions of talking before & after the set, so while the audio levels will be consistent within recordings they may vary from track to track.
